Dr. Hosffman Ospino's research concentrates on the dialogue between theology and culture and the impact of this interchange upon Catholic theological education, catechesis, and ministry. He has lectured nationally and internationally on these areas and once worked for the National Confederation of Catholic Education in his native Colombia. Dr. Ospino is the author several books, including Cultural Diversity and Paradigm Shifts in Catholic Congregations (Fordham University Press, forthcoming) and of the studies, "Catholic Schools in an Increasingly Hispanic Church" (2016), "Hispanic Ministry in Catholic Parishes" (2015), and "Evangelization and Catechesis in the Context of Hispanic Ministry" (Liguori, 2013, in Spanish). He is also the co-editor of "Hispanic Ministry in the Twenty-First Century: Urgent Matters" (Convivium Press, 2016) and editor of "Hispanic Ministry in the Twenty-First Century: Present and Future." (Convivium Press, 2010). He served as the Principal Investigator of the first ever National Study of Catholic Parishes with Hispanic Ministry and a Co-Principal Investigator for the National Survey of Catholic Schools Serving Hispanic Families. He is an officer of the Academy of Catholic Hispanic Theologians of the United States (ACHTUS) and a member of the Board of Directors of the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA).
